Exterior doors
Despite the high cost of wooden doors, which sometimes exceeds the cost of metal and other doors several times, wooden entrance doors have many advantages in use: from quality sound insulation to a variety of decorative purposes.
Timber entrance doors differ from their counterparts made of other materials in many characteristics, which include:
- best noise and heat insulation;
- environmental friendliness of the material;
- the strength of the product, which entails the longevity of the structures;
- variation of decorating the door with ornaments, carvings and other decorative elements.
It should be emphasised that there are different types of doors, each endowed with its own distinctive characteristics.
The following varieties of doors are distinguished:
- Wooden street door. In contrast to doors located in flats of multi-storey buildings, street doors are exposed to more environmental influences. Therefore, these doors are equipped with a better construction, so they are the most reliable and durable, and thanks to the wooden structure, they are also attractive, which is important for entrance doors, which are the first to catch the eye.
- Internal entrance doors. Additionally, such doors are installed for improved protection, as well as increased sound and heat insulation. The choice of internal doors most often depends on the design of the overall interior, so their appearance should be based on the design.
- Wooden doors with glazing. Glazed entrance doors can help to dilute the monotony and emphasise the elegance of the house. There are many variations in the design of such doors: the glass can occupy only a fragment of the door, or take up most of it. There is also a variety of types of inserts: smooth and ribbed, transparent and frosted, stained glass and others. Such doors look refined and always presentable, and have recently gained popularity among customers.
